The Architectural Association of Ireland
The AAI was founded in 1896 'to promote and afford facilities for the study of architecture and the allied sciences and arts, and to provide a medium of friendly communication between members and others interested in the progress of architecture'. It sponsors a public lecture series and annual awards.
 
The Architectural Institute of Japan
AIJ is an academic association with about 38,000 members. It is neither a governmental organ nor an organization for engineers to promote their professional interests. The main purpose of the Institute is to cultivate its members' abilities and to heighten architectural quality in Japan. As the sole integrated institute in the field of architecture, AIJ has made an important contribution to the development of science, technology and the arts.
 
The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada
The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, established in 1907, is a voluntary national association representing more than 3,000 professional architects, and Faculty and graduates of accredited Canadian Schools of Architecture, from every region of the country. It works towards a future in which Canadians will view our total environment, both natural and built, as our most important asset, and the Institute's members as essential to its creation and maintenance.

The Royal Australian Institue of Architects
The Royal Australian Institute of Architects is a national body consisting of 8000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute was formed in 1930 when state architectural Institutes combined to form a unified national association with the following aims:
  • To advance architecture
  • To maintain the integrity and standing of the profession
  • To promote the profession's views nationally and internationally, and
  • To encourage the study of architecture
 
The Royal Institute of British Architects
The RIBA is the first and most famous architectural institute in the world. Founded in 1834, its aim to advance architecture for the common good, remains the same. But its tactics change as the world changes.
The RIBA is its members. A voluntary,democratic self-financing and independent association of 30,000 people, worldwide, who share the same knowledge base and the same concern for the built environment.
